Bracelets

A bracelet is an article of jewelry which is worn around the wrist. Bracelets can be manufactured from leather, cloth, hemp, plastic or metal, and sometimes contain rocks, wood, and/or shells. Bracelets are also used for medical and identification purposes, such as allergy bracelets and hospital patient-identification tags.
Bracelets find a different form of use in many continents across the world. They are used as a status symbol, particularly in the Asian sub-continent and the Caribbean islands. People here use bracelets that are made of gold or silver. While the wealthy people use gold, the deprived ones satisfy themselves with silver. Both men and women prefer to use bracelets. There are also the ones made of rubber that are used as a fashion statement or to create awareness among others. Nike was popular for its introduction of the silicone rubber bracelets that was acknowledged by Lance Armstrong. In Latin America, a type of bracelet known as Azabache bracelets is popular for the belief that wearing one wards off excessive admiration or envious looks by others. They are also tied around new born baby’s arms to ward off evil eyes.
There has been a growing demand for these types of bracelets around the world of late and that has led to the bracelet making industry a profitable one.
