Western Jewelry

Jewelry is one of the main personal belonging that has undergone numerous transformations and is still being widely used all over the world. The use of jewelry has increased manifold and different cultures have their own perspective of the different metals that are used in making these jewelry. Western jewelry has been more or less the same with diamond and silver being the widely accepted ones.

Western jewelry, when compared to the Asian ones is far from being used as a compulsory customary item and are used sparingly. The usage of gold is not of much prominence in the western jewelry line. They prefer to use simple ones made of silver and for special occasions they prefer to either use jewelry made from pearl or use diamonds. Western jewelry can also be made to include those funky ones that are made out of beadings or other solid items. Not much of importance is given to gold as compared to countries like India, Sri Lanka etc. Of late the surging prices of the yellow metal has made it the more dearer that people have started to turn to other fashionable and relatively lower priced items like silver.
